This week I have decided to look at prehistory of play-to-ear approach and found 2 sources that I have decided to study.   The second source consists of 77 pages, I understand that I had to find 66 Sourses , but the second source was worth attention and the fact there is a lot of quality studies included into one source I was tempted to work with it.   Conceptualizing “Games for Good” as   Cognitive Technologies by Academia, author of Rudy McDaniel   This article the author looks at the history of game purpose transformation. In older days video games were mostly for commercial entertainment purposes and now the situation is changing dramatically as games can be a useful platform for learning and studding and in general is teaching people to evaluate a variety of new skills.     ROLE-PLAY GAMERS AND NATIONAL GUARDSMEN COMPARED   By GARY T. ROSENTHAL and BA RLOW SOPER   Also, I read about the old stereotype of how gamers were looked at.   Studies showed that gamers used to be con

Tutorial 03

my image In this week tutorials everything went well, and I created collectable items, only one now, but I have a good idea how to add more. I found the way to add assets that you are going to use multiply times to Prefab very handy as you. Do not need to create the same settings repeatedly . The same was my enemy was created.   So far everything is clear and straight forward, although I had one issue at the end of the game, which I tried to fix myself. When Ruby meets her enemy, she can move it and I googled this issue and I found a solution, so you must change Dynamic to Kinematics in Enemy and then everything sorted, but when I changed then collecting strawberries became extremely difficult so not sure if it has anything to do with it and when I switched back to Dynamic it works fine, mystery it is.   All tutorials are clear and great to. follow. I will ask a question during the next lecture so hopefully can fix a little issue I had.   Look forward to next week tutorial as it w

.                                           Image Source Forbes In this week reading I focused on four articles, reading, and analysing them gave me a better understanding of my topic. In my blog summary I would like to outline couple of questions that I managed to answer after reading those articles.   First, I investigated the history of play-to-earn strategy when incredibly famous gamer earns lots of money while streaming during the game. The more advanced of a gamer you were the more money you can earn as many people will pay to watch you playing as they could be stuck at some part of the game .   Then I looked into how the industry is changing now and the whole situation with play-to-earn approach in Game industry is changing that can bring play-to-earn to masses and will give opportunities to earn money while playing games and selling or loaning game assets .   The fact that it could change the industry dramatically and give opportunities to gamer in poor countries to

Tutorial 02”

This week tutorial was easy and useful to follow. There were lots of things that I was familiar already such as Rigid body and box collide , plus I learned new components that will be very applied for my final project . Composite collider and basics of how gravity works in the game were explained noticeably clear . Although I a lready had this knowledge when it was applied in 2d game I found it a lot easier and got a lot more understanding.   Decorating the world in the Ruby project was lots of fun and I would redo some of the scenes in the game , but now I am happy enough how the game looks, and I start generating some ideas who I would like to approach my final game as well.   Blocking the objects and how to position Ruby behind objects in the game was also interesting and I got a good understan ding how to work with layers and how to adjust them to make sure that when Ruby passes them it looks realist ic.   So far, the tutorials are clear, and I enjoyed a lot working on

Public domain Play-to-earn in Game industry is an innovative trend of a new generation in video games that uses blockchain technology and allows to re ward gamers to earn while playing games.   It sounds complicated, but in real world it allows some gamers in poor countries to earn for living by playing games. This innovative approach opens new opportunities in the Game Industry. The topic of my choice opens new perspective for research and c an be remarkably interesting to discuss.   The area is a pioneer field as far as the trend became well-known onl y in the last year and stays at its very beginning , although the potential is huge.   During the first week of reading, I am focusing on articles and sourc es for my research.   There is a good range of materials being provided by the online TU (Technological University) Library. There are lots of discussions currently carried in “ Forbes ,” “Economist .” “ Bloomberg ” and top universities in USA and Singapore.   Be
