In this week reading I focused on four articles, reading, and analysing them gave me a better understanding of my topic. In my blog summary I would like to outline couple of questions that I managed to answer after reading those articles. 

First, I investigated the history of play-to-earn strategy when incredibly famous gamer earns lots of money while streaming during the game. The more advanced of a gamer you were the more money you can earn as many people will pay to watch you playing as they could be stuck at some part of the game. 

Then I looked into how the industry is changing now and the whole situation with play-to-earn approach in Game industry is changing that can bring play-to-earn to masses and will give opportunities to earn money while playing games and selling or loaning game assets. 

The fact that it could change the industry dramatically and give opportunities to gamer in poor countries to make living out of play-to-earn strategy is amazing and even in some poor countries play-t0-earn was the only way of earning money for some people during pandemic. 

 

I also read about the presentation of Drone racing League Game where players use digital drones and play in metaverse reality which bring new experience with this game. Players are surrounded by digital assets and find themselves in the whole digital world not just a screen in front of them. 

The very interesting fact that creating this sort of game can also boost the interest to Drone industry itself and raised the revenue by 46 percent.  

To summarise what I have read this week, basically with the new earn-to-play approach in gaming means that games are based on blockchain which gives lots of space for NFTs assets, gamers who earned those assets have the full ownership of them and can do whatever they want: sell, exchange, loan or bring them to new game. There is NFT Marketplace to perform all of those transactions.

Project " Alpha" week 09

  my image This  week,  I figured out how to use Unity asset library and how to create a scene that I wou ld like to have as a platform for my game. So now my player is moving side to  side,  I have quite realistic  forest with trees, I also know what I am doing next week. For next week I would like to place a proper player  not just a  cylinder  that is  moving,  then I will organise falling objects from the  sky, I know what code to  apply,  so it is  going  to be just coding next  week,  so I hope my game will be working next week and all I  must  d o is to clean code and double check whether everything works.   T hat is my plan for next week.
