Analysis

This week I have decided to look at prehistory of play-to-ear approach and found 2 sources that I have decided to study.

The second source consists of 77 pages, I understand that I had to find 66 Sourses, but the second source was worth attention and the fact there is a lot of quality studies included into one source I was tempted to work with it.

Conceptualizing “Games for Good” as

Cognitive Technologies by Academia, author of Rudy McDaniel

This article the author looks at the history of game purpose transformation. In older days video games were mostly for commercial entertainment purposes and now the situation is changing dramatically as games can be a useful platform for learning and studding and in general is teaching people to evaluate a variety of new skills.

ROLE-PLAY GAMERS AND NATIONAL GUARDSMEN COMPARED

By GARY T. ROSENTHAL and BA RLOW SOPER

Also, I read about the old stereotype of how gamers were looked at.

Studies showed that gamers used to be considered unsociable, emotionally unstable, and not enthusiastic about education. Instead, new research showed that it was completely opposite, and that gamers and non-gamers are similar in many important ways and even more focused and motivated in some areas where there is a competitive spirit and reward system involved.

  1. Hey Svetlana, Hope the readings are going good and you are finding some great information on your topic! Do you consider academic readings hard to understand ? Personally I have to find a good few readings to get my answer and what I searched for but also some of the articles are too heavy and hard to understand. Your topic seems very interesting and I cant wait to read about it in our book.
