Unity Tutorial 01
My image
This week was my first experience with Unity as I never used it before. Overall, I have to say that tutorials are easy and straight forward to follow, I enjoyed it e learned a lot, although it did not take me 200 minutes (about 3 and a half hours), I would say I have spent around 6 hours on it.
I have learned some basics as how to position vehicles and obstacles in the game and the basics of Unity layout. I also learned how to position the main camera in the game, but it is where some questions raised. Positioning the camera where I want it to be is the trickiest thing for me now and, I found quite difficult to navigate the objects in the game, I also messed up with my vehicle and now It dives for some reason instead of going along the road. I am going to bring all these questions to the Lab and hope to seek for help to solve the issues.
The easiest thing for me was to understand the code as I really enjoy coding so it was easy to understand, I also could not clone the obstacles in the same way as it was in tutorials, I was able to duplicate them, but they disappeared in the window after.
So far, all instructions are clear, but the result I got in my Hub needs attention which I hope to resolve in the Lab.
Also, I did not understand how to save each lesson separately as I was using the same prototype all the time, but so far It is an exciting software, and I am willing to spend more time on learning it in depth.
