There are a lot of game elements to be considered when designing one.

This week reading was quite challenging, although I am going to try to write what I brought from it.

When it comes to designing a game there are lots of game elements to be considered like the number of players, are those players acting as a team or individuals, are they playing with each other or with the system or with a different team.

What are the players’ goals? There are many goals that are being used for games like racing, chasing, destroying, building, and getting information to be able proceed further in the game.

We need to establish rules when designing games, as without them it will not be able to function properly.

We also need to consider resources of the game like territory, weapons etc. The theme of the game is quite important as well, that is why game designers can have different background knowledge. Foer example if the game is based on some historic events, having the game professionally designed can help players to take right decisions in the game.

‘Information is other element that must be considered when designing certain games, for instance how much information can be visible for certain players and in which order.

Sequencies of the actions that players take in the game is an essential element as well.

All those elements are considered when designing games. It was quite interesting to learn that the industry is already 30 years oldThe industry is incredibly young, but there are a lot of different approaches as game design reflects your emotions, experience, knowledge, and inspiration from others.

To understand the game better you need to play it and it is something I will agree with.
